THE HASANAH REPORT 2022

ENVIRONMENT

Today, protecting the environment is far more than a moral imperative. It is also an economic and a social necessity, seeing that healthy, thriving ecosystems and human well-being are so intricately-linked.

As climate change, pollution and habitat destruction alongside their effects on surrounding communities remain critical concerns, a sustainable future is still viable with urgent and effective public awareness and policy-making.

Solutions for Nature start and end with us. Conserving, including protecting nature and building empowered communities, is a given if we are to mitigate and adapt to our changing climate and environment. As we continue to grow as a nation,  accountability and responsibility in how we use and dispose of plastic is critical. And as we move towards demonstrating how we can achieve sustainable development, building mutual understanding, cooperation and collaboration are vital for us to succeed.
